Walkie communication on a film set is the secret language that keeps the production running smoothly behind the scenes. Location Scouting and Management
Location Scouting and Management (or How to Be the Secret Superhero No One Will Ever Know). Filming for a movie or TV show takes a lot of planning, and a lot of that goes unnoticed. This course teaches you how to be that master planner. Learn about city permitting, utility regulations, interdepartmental regulations, and everything that goes into organizing a film project.
This class applies for any management job on set, whether it’s in utilities, directing, producing or location scouting. You’ll learn the ins and outs of starting and managing film projects.
NOTE: Students will need a tablet or laptop with spreadsheet capabilities.
This course meets from 5-9 PM on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday beginning October 14 - November 4. There will not be class on October 31.
